OBJECTIVE: The idea is to help people and citizens to be proud of their city and also to be part of their own show. Helped by professional, people become aware of their capacities to make the world a better place to live in. Every three years, the challenges are bigger and the people are there to take them up.

CREATIVE IDEA AND DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:
This 90minute’s show takes place in the center town of La louvière. Two main squares and a boulevard become stages and all citizens comes to assist to this free show. This year, the show was concentrated on Happiness: “The sun has a date with the moon”. Together with Sancho, a clown brings the live-saving laughs. He has to go unhooking the moon to bring the sun back to the city. During three years, a great social work has been made with the associative life around the sentence: “ I will..” And this edition was also taking care of the european feeling with a straight collaboration of seven foreign cities who has made giant puppets for acting in the show. All those citizen has been coached and help in their tasks by professional artists. Mixing professionals and citizens gives birth to strong links between people and draws souvenirs. In terms of numbers, this event is particularly huge: 35000 spectators, 200 technicians, 650 volunteers, 8 workshops and a full citizen mobilizations.
MEDIA MIX: First of all, the show is taking place every three years in the same city. So people all around knowns about it and wait for it. This year, a huge communication campaign has been made using national radio interviews, tv programs about the conception and preparation. The local and regional newspapers have played a strong role in this way. The Luc Petit's name was a strong way to bring people there. And more than that, the show has also been broadcasted live on all the local tv channels in Belgium
AUDIO / VIDEO / LIGHTS PRODUCTION: This show is quite huge and impressive in terms of innovations. We have used video mapping to move the main-squares into a specific set or atmosphere. We have also used lazer projections to make the visual effects bigger related to our one kilometer's stage. By including artistic innovative performance we have pushed back the technological challenges.
STAGING AND SET DEISGN: Luc Petit is the artistic director of this show. Using his cinematographic background, he creates universes where people can be part of it, where people can imagine. Therefore one of the key element is the citizen mobilization: workshops are organized during three years to transform citizen into real actors. This show is particular in terms of effectiveness because he has been awarded in last march with a silver award at the BEA festival. thru editions, people became more and more enthusiastic about this event and this year it brings more than 35000 spectators.
